Experimental project and object of study that combines two elements of different nature: hand embroidery techniques and preserved flower petals. The relation between them causes a confrontation with the “traditional embroidery” and its obsession with the figurative representation of flowers without any sensitive expression. It talks about mutation, change and process to the rhythm of nature.
The preserved petals are natural petals treated using a revolutionary preservation technique to maintain them fresh and with their natural appearance for years, depending on environmental conditions. With them, a metaphor is created about the passage of time and memory, taking the materials and processes out of their context, accumulating them, trapping them, interrupting them, intervening them with an embroidered drawing.
