The materials grow in size and their material qualities multiply through their random overlapping. The deformation of the gesture, its exaggeration, minimizing the spaces between each stitch, make the materials come alive on their own, unable to control them, only guided by the reverse drawing of my hand. Layers upon layers ranging from a calm and flat nature to the opposite, shocking, piercing, wild. Nature itself, painted. A repeated gesture, over and over again. A work understood from the material and the process.
